The OLA/YouTube Contest Grand Prize

Renee says, "It was a very tough decision to make, as it was one based on views, videos that touched on the key major points about OLA, as well as entertainment value . There were so many great videos submitted by our users, unfortunately, any that contained copyright (music) material would not be eligible to win the grand prize.

We not only had staff participate, but the public in our Monday morning meeting, to establish a vote for the winner. It was a deadlock tie three times! We finally came up with an idea to see if the two people who received equal amount of votes would be interested in splitting the grand prize money. We had a 3 way conference call at this point and both users very happily, and I might add excitedly, agreed to split the grand prize money of 5,000 dollars!"

Congratulations to: MetzyMom and Digit5!!

I gave my son $1000.00 (because he did the animation and definitely earned it). He was laid off his job almost 4 months ago and has been raking leaves and doing yard work for neighbors and the general community to make ends meet. This money is huge for him, as it will take an enormous amount of stress off him. He has some breathing room, which he hasn't had for months now.
With my $1000.00, we are going to feel less 'pinched' until the economy turns back around... that is to say that we're going to hold on to it and only use what we need when we need it. I will pay some immediate medical bills with $300, but the rest will just sit until another emergency arises.
It sure was a God Send!!!
