1909 Lester Upright Piano

My sister (in Roswell, NM) was recently given a piano. It turns out that it is a 1909 Lester Upright Piano!!! The serial number is easily readable and apparently the piano is in pretty good condition, although it needs some work, and she's looking to sell it as is.
We found that this particular type/make of piano sells for an average of $10,000.00 when fully restored ($9,500.00 low and $11,000.00 high). She doesn't plan to restore it herself as she doesn't have the money... so she is planning to sell it. I figure she should get about $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 for it 'as is'.
Can anyone tell me what kind of information she needs to know so she, as she put it, doesn't sound like a moron when talking to the antique world?
